We've branded each of Virgin Atlantic Airway's sixteen US flights to London. Each of the flights had a flight number, but we have also given each flight its own name, personality, sound and vibe. We branded the flights because Virgin Atlantic flights are events in the sky--not just typical airline flights-which are a way to get from point A to B. We needed a platform to be able to illustrate the different flight experiences--as Virgin's onboard experience is like none other (with an onboard bar and inflight massages). We've created a separate microsite for each of the different flights as well as a hub page (virginatlantic.com/flights) that has links to all of the different flight number microsites. The microsites have an area where passengers can post reviews of the different flights--and the sites give people an opportunity to see which flight personality is most like their own. From The Suite Dream to The Lo Pro to The Networker--we know there is something for everyone. All creative materials for Virgin drive people to sepcific flight number microsites. Virgin Atlantic and has seen significant increases in Upper Class bookings since the microsites have gone live. |
