SETH MACFARLANE'S CAVALCADE OF CARTOON COMEDY
Never one to shy from the funny, Burger King made for the perfect sponsor of Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, an online playground for all the gags even Seth couldn’t wedge into one of his hit animated series.
Also not one to settle for a sideline role, Burger King embedded itself directly into the content by featuring the King busting through the opening sequence of each animated short. Whether chased by a restless natives, militant apes or a John Woo-esque slo-mo explosion, the King set the stage for the ensuing hilarity.
But unsatisfied still, Burger King went the extra step of allowing users to have it their way with Seth MacFarlane by using the Have It Your Way Overdub Machine. Users recorded their own dialogue and sounds over real Seth MacFarlane cartoons right on YouTube, uploading the results directly to their accounts and the Burger King YouTube channel. The unprecedented technological leap attracted thousands of submissions and more than a few entries in the Buy Seth Lunch Sweepstakes, wherein the winner “won” lunch with Mr. MacFarlane himself at Burger King... provided the winner pay for it.
